My name is Erika, and I would like to introduce to you my partner and best friend
~ Evie Villarreal.
Erika is a very driven, curious and dedicated individual. She was a single mom for most of her son’s life and did a fantastic job raising him into a great young man. Erika has a passion for education, meaning she loves to learn all the things all the time! Since I’ve known her, she’s spent a good part of her time working and being in school learning as much about what interests her as she can. Those interests included mental health, nutritional health, ayurverdic nutrition, herbalism and yoga. She just recently changed careers after being a construction project manager for most of her career to being in the medical field. She has a strong passion for natural medicine, gardening and all things organic and loves sharing her knowledge with others. When we aren’t working together creating our next greatest product, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son camping and exploring nature.
We are both very humble and have a hard time bragging about ourselves, but can easily brag about each other. Evie has a passion for all things natural as well as sharing her knowledge to educate people on the benefits. She has a degree in business and she’s also a Master Herbalist. Evie has been practicing herbalism, tea blending, aromatherapy, and meditation for over twenty years. She has a plethora of knowledge and is always excited to share. She is a fantastic teacher with a brilliant and creative mind. Evie and I have been family for 16 years. She has a wonderful husband, three beautiful children and three equally as beautiful grandchildren. When we aren’t working tirelessly together, you can always find her in her yard tending to her garden, her chickens, hanging out with her dogs, and feeding whatever wildlife that hangs out in her yard and her pond. If she’s not there, she’s riding motorcycles with her husband and friends.
We are very earth conscious and in tune with nature in our everyday lives. We strive to share our knowledge with other like-minded individuals and maybe even convert a few along the way. Educating people that nature can nurture your mind, body, and soul is our top priority. Herbs, teas, coffee, spices, and oils that come from the Earth is the best way to nourish and heal the body. We believe that using the purest of ingredients is critical to every person’s well-being. We have researched and partnered with companies that only offer 100% organic ingredients. We have also partnered with companies that only offer fair trade and ethically sourced ingredients. The minimal packaging that is used either comes from recycled materials or are recyclable and compostable materials that are free of chemicals and pesticides. Having as little impact on the Earth as possible and providing the best Gaia has to offer is our mission while giving back to her as well.
The Vintage Cupboard is an extension of who we are and what we feel strongly about. We have been passionate about a more natural way of life for years and have continued to hone our knowledge and skills to share this way of life with the masses.
